Director of Photography
I’ve always loved adventure – jumping on Lear jets with my camera to travel to far off places for a story, working in war zones where the stakes are high, moving to capture that great angle from a dangerous precipice. Living in Rome and working freelance overseas for the nightly news shows was exciting – working on lead stories with network correspondents, producers, and editors. Now based in the Washington DC Metro area I ‘ve worked as Director of Photography for a number of series on The Discovery Channel & National Geographic and have added Fortune 500 and government clients to my business. I’m proud to have won a National Emmy in Cinematography and also proud of my family who support me in all I do.
Who would have ever guessed that graduate work at the University of Florence in Art History and a Director of Photography husband would lead to a career as a Sound Recordist? My husband, Steve, and I were called to work for the nightly news after Pope John Paul II was shot in Vatican Square. Our reputation as a freelance camera crew earned us high profile assignments all over Europe, Africa and the Middle East. While doing audio I learned producing first hand from the best producers at the network level. Transitioning back to the Washington, DC Metro area I put that skill to good use. Steve and I provide video production – from script to screen – for Fortune 500 and government clients. With our network experience, range of diverse clients (military, documentary, corporate, government) and 2 great kids life is good!
